The Itoozhi Illam Ayurveda Trust has taken a significant step in promoting sustainable healthcare through its active program for the cultivation of medicinal plants. To achieve this, the Trust conducts continuous awareness workshops for farmers, educating them about the best practices in medicinal plant cultivation. In addition to education, the Itoozhi Ayurveda Trust offers practical support to the farmers. This includes setting up collection units for the cultivated medicinal plants, ensuring that farmers have a reliable and fair market for their produce.
By providing this support, the Trust not only encourages more farmers to participate in medicinal plant cultivation but also helps in preserving traditional agricultural knowledge that is often passed down through generations.
Moreover, the Trust manages its own medicinal plant cultivations to supply its Ayurveda medicine manufacturing. This dual approach—supporting community cultivation while managing its own production—ensures that the Trust can maintain the highest standards in the quality of its Ayurvedic medicines.
