Vaidya Sameeksha – Hands-on Training for Ayurveda Doctors in Pain Management

The Itoozhi Illam Ayurveda Foundation Trust hosted “Vaidya Sameeksha – a Hands-on Training for Ayurveda Doctors in Pain Management based on Shalyatantra” on 19 November 2023 at the Dhanwantari Auditorium, Itoozhi Ayurveda campus. This event brought together esteemed Ayurveda practitioners and experts, offering them practical insights and training in the traditional techniques of Shalyatantra. The session emphasized the importance of skillful pain management, blending ancient wisdom with modern practices, and fostering a deeper understanding of holistic healing.

Shalyatantra, one of the eight branches of Ayurveda, is the ancient Indian science of surgery and trauma care. It covers a wide array of surgical techniques, from treating wounds and fractures to more intricate procedures. In the context of pain management, Shalyatantra offers effective methods to address various physical ailments through precise and gentle interventions.
