The two-day National workshop for Shalakya Tantra teachers, with a special emphasis on Ayurveda Eye care, under the aegis of the National Academy of Ayurveda under the Union Ministry of Ayurveda was successfully hosted at the Itoozhi Ayurveda campus, Mayyil. The workshop was conducted in collaboration with the Itoozhi Illam Ayurveda Foundation Charitable Trust.
Shalakya Tantra teachers from universities in various states of India are participating in the Shalakya Tantra workshop. Dr. Gopakumar, Registrar, Kerala Health University, inaugurated the event at the Dhanwanthari Auditorium of Itoozhi Namboothiri’s Ayurveda Nursing Home in Mayyil.
The Chairman of the Itoozhi Ayurveda Foundation Dr.I.Bhavadasan Namboothiri delivered the Welcome Address. Dr.I.Umesh Namboothiri expressed thanks.
Vaidya Prof.(Dr).K.S. Dhiman (Vice Chancellor, Sri Krishna Ayush University), Vaidya Veena Himanshu Sharma (Assoc. Professor & HOD, Shalakya Dep, MSM Institute of Ayurveda), Vaidya Prasad Mangalath (Director & Chief Physician, Sunethri Ayurvedashram) presented research papers. Dr. I. Unnikrishnan Namboothiri, Dr. I. Umesh Namboothiri and Dr. PV Dhanya led the Netrakriya Kalpa Parishena program that followed.
Kannur Defense Security Cops Commandant Param Veer Singh Nagara was the Chief Guest at the closing ceremony on 24 September 2024.
