Dr V C Raveendran

Dr. V.C. Raveendran is a veteran medical professional with over five decades of dedicated service in healthcare and community wellbeing. A graduate in Zoology from St. Thomas College, Devagiri, he completed his MBBS at Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram (1967–1972).

After joining Kerala Health Services, he served with distinction until his retirement in 2001. Post-retirement, Dr. Raveendran settled in Payyannur, where he continues to serve as Chief Medical Officer and ENT Specialist at Saba Hospital, Payyannur.

A pioneer in community-based care, he founded the Pain & Palliative Society, Payyannur—one of the first palliative care initiatives in the Kannur region—and continues to lead it as President. He also serves as the Medical Director of Malabar Cancer Care Society, an NGO committed to early cancer detection and awareness, and actively supports initiatives for mentally challenged children.

Known for his deep compassion and community spirit, Dr. Raveendran remains a guiding force in promoting health and dignity for all.
