World Environment Day 2025 was celebrated under the leadership of the Itoozhi Illam Ayurveda Foundation Charitable Trust. The celebrations were inaugurated by planting a medicinal tree sapling, led by Mahamuni Sritha Mahagatha, Chairperson of the Mahagatha Foundation, Nepal.
Itoozhi Foundation Chairman I. Bhavadasan Namboothiri, Managing Trustee Dr. I. Unnikrishnan Namboothiri, Dr. P. V. Dhanya, Dr. I. Umesh, and retired Agricultural University Professor Gangadharan spoke on the occasion. An awareness session on plastic elimination was also conducted.
Following this, an environmental awareness and medicinal plant familiarisation programme was organised for the SPC and JRC cadets of Mayyil Edooli Madhavan Namboothiri Memorial Higher Secondary School. The sessions were led by SPC Coordinator Praseetha Teacher, Dr. Smrithi Muralidharan, and Dr. Leema.
