Dr. I. Unnikrishnan Namboothiri delivered an insightful presentation on “Medicinal Plant Cultivation – Experiences” on 14 September 2025 at G.U.P.S Padikkil, Kodakkad, Kasaragod. The session was part of a special programme hosted by the Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment (KSCSTE) – Kerala Forest Research Institute, Peechi, Thrissur, under the aegis of the National Medicinal Plants Board (NMPB) – Regional cum Facilitation Centre, Southern Region.
Drawing from years of practical experience and community engagement, Dr. I. Unnikrishnan Namboothiri highlighted the immense potential ofmedicinal plant cultivation as both a sustainable livelihood and a means to preserve traditional Ayurvedic heritage. His engaging insights on species selection, organic methods, and market linkage strategies resonated strongly with the audience.
