Prof. R. Arul Murugan is a distinguished academic and healthcare professional with over two decades of experience in nursing education and clinical practice. After completing his BSc Nursing (1994–1998) and a year-long Physician Assistant (Surgical) course, he served as an Assistant Surgeon in the Cardiothoracic Department.

He pursued his MSc Nursing in Medical-Surgical Nursing from 2004 to 2006 and transitioned into academics soon after. He has served as Assistant Professor (2006–2011) and later as HOD of the Surgical Medical Department (2011–2013). Since 2016, he has been the Professor and Vice Principal at A.K.G Memorial Co-Operative College of Nursing, contributing significantly to shaping future healthcare professionals.

Prof. Murugan is actively pursuing his PhD and holds key leadership roles, including Vice President of the Kerala Professional Network and KCEU Unit President. A respected resource person for medical education programs across Ayurveda colleges and schools, he is known for his commitment to excellence,
